About Atul

As an educator, entrepreneur, counselor, and facilitator, I have a rich and diverse background in assisting families on reaching their financial goals. My experience helps families prudently plan for the future. I always emphasize diversification: in simple terms, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” I know the ups and downs of running a business and like to say, “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up!”

I have received the professional designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP® ) from the College for Financial Planning in Denver. I have also received the designation of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants.

As a CFP® professional who has held separately a series 7 license since 1987 and a series 24 license (General Securities Principal) since 1989, and currently hold a Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative license, I am confident and well experienced to provide education in areas of tax management, college funding, retirement planning, investment planning, estate conservation, insurance planning, and many ancillary subjects. With these qualifications, I strive to be a competent and ethical financial planner.

My professional background includes my beginnings as a representative of an investment banking firm focused upon innovative small businesses, a stockbroker with a NYSE brokerage firm serving business executives and professionals, a branch manager for Raymond James Financial Services, and a representative for MetLife, after which I founded Prudent Prospera Planning.

I have been married since 1992 and have been blessed with two wonderful kids. Meditation, reading, movies & whitewater rafting are few of my hobbies.
